Kane celebrates his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his desire in going back to the Premier League has diminished and he is open to discuss a new deal with Bayern Munich.
The star striker is at the moment midway through the four-year deal he agreed to when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.
The 32-year-old forward has netted an remarkable 103 goals in 106 games for the German club, helping them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which was the initial significant achievement of his illustrious career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has recently stated that he would welcome to see Kane go back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring record of 260.
However, the England skipper has now suggested that he is no longer as enthusiastic about going back home as he earlier was, and would certainly contemplate prolonging his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of extending longer, I could certainly see that," he commented.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be prepared to talk and have an honest conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so unfolds and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different moments happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."
Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the historic top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the fastest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five competitions, reaching the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had avoided him until he won the German title last season.
Kane admits that he was not sure how he would react after overcoming his trophy drought, but now believes it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
